Submission Guidelines

Everything you need to know before submitting your manuscript

  • Manuscript types: Original research articles, review papers, and case studies in accounting and management that fall within the journal’s Aim & Scope (financial and management accounting, auditing, governance, performance measurement, sustainability reporting, accounting information systems, and related management topics).​
  • Language: English, written clearly and concisely; authors are encouraged to have the manuscript checked by a language expert if needed.​
  • Structure: Typical sections include Title page, Abstract (150–250 words) and 4–6 keywords, Introduction, Literature review/theory, Methodology, Results/Analysis, Discussion, Conclusion/Implications, References, and any Appendices.
  • Formatting: Use a standard font (e.g., 12‑pt, double‑spaced), numbered headings, and consistent citation style (e.g., APA/Harvard—choose one and state it). Tables and figures should be numbered, titled, and cited in the text; submit high‑quality files for figures.
  • Length: Recommended 3,000–8,000 words for research articles (excluding references and appendices); shorter limits may apply to case studies or notes.
  • File preparation: Main manuscript in editable format (e.g., Word), anonymized for double‑blind review; separate title page with authors’ names, affiliations, ORCID (optional), and corresponding author contact details.​
  • Ethics: State ethics approval for human/animal research, informed consent where applicable, conflict of interest, and funding information. Plagiarism, data fabrication, and duplicate submission are not permitted.
  • Submission method: All manuscripts must be submitted through the journal’s online system; email submissions are not accepted.
